Ez all, wonder if anyone can offer any advice / help..
I use SL3 & SL4 and will always be my 1st choice BUT we have just bought some CDJ2000 Nexus (mainly for hire purposes) and want to check out the whole Rekordbox thing and see what it is all about.
The CDJ's link up well with Scratch Live without the control CDs, cue points are mapped to the CDJ's hot cues (only 3 of them but it maps the 1st 3 cues) The CDJ also allows you to scroll through your crates / tracks and load them.. but to be honest the layout on my SL software is better to read and find tracks quicker! but all in all the link up quite well.
The question I have is -
Does the Rekordbox software conflict with Serato SL??
I want to try the CDJ's using a memory stick linking both CDJs together and using the Pro DJ Link function, just to get my head around how this part of the CDJ's work and Id rather try it for myself than reading about it!
In order fro me to do that I will have to download and install Rekordbox, and then I gather I will need to analyse some tracks into Rekordbox before transferring to the memory stick.
All my tracks have been analysed in Serato already and cue points set, which I do not want to lose as I DJ myself using Scratch Live..
Will the information I have for each track get over written? do both softwares analyse tracks differently and if so will I have problems loading a track into SL that has been Rekordboxed!?
I do not want to migrate / analyse all my tracks to Rekordbox, just want to try a few.. maybe more...
So before I start I thought I would ask anyone on here if they have done the same, or use both softwares on the same computer without any conflict / issues..
Thanks in advance
